M5 Kabel has been making copper cables and wires since 1995, known on the market under the TEHNOKABEL brand: building wires, flexible cords, data cables, cables for security and fire alarm systems, telephone, audio and heating cables. Sales are in Plovdiv and the factory is in Sevlievo, Bulgaria. They called us from one of our Google ads asking for a new website where their customers could find a cable by the name they search for. We showed the first demo the same day, and on October 28, 2026 the site went live on their own domain, m5cable.com.
A cable manufacturer's customers are electricians, installers, wholesalers and security system companies. They do not browse for fun: they arrive with a specific code (H07V-K, LiYCY, J-Y(St)Y) or an old Bulgarian designation (PVA1, ShVPS-V, PMM), want to see the cross-sections, weights and voltage, and then ask for a price. So the client's main requirement was search by cable name and a datasheet for every product, not marketing copy.
The materials arrived as a document with the site content, datasheets in Word, a scanned logo and photos from the factory. The client's rule was clear: the texts had to be theirs, almost word for word, and the photos had to be theirs too, with no stock or generated images.
A catalog with 8 groups and 20 datasheets. Each datasheet has the application, the construction (conductor, insulation, colors), electrical data and a table of cross-sections, diameters and weights, carried over line by line from the client's documents. Under every cable there is a "Request a quote" button that opens the form with the cable name filled in, and the message goes straight to the sales department's email. A separate page explains the CPR regulation, the Euroclasses for reaction to fire and the DoP declarations.
Search is on every page and finds a cable by its EN or DIN VDE code, by its Bulgarian designation or by the group name, while the visitor is still typing. We redrew the logo as a vector from the scan, straightened and cropped the cable photos, and made the factory photos black and white so they come to life in color on hover. The client saw three light designs and chose "Technical Index": a light background, red buttons in the color of the logo, and the Unbounded and Manrope typefaces.
The site is static, with no database and no plugins, so it opens fast and there is nothing to hack: Lighthouse on mobile gives 97 for performance and 100 for SEO and best practices. The m5cable.com domain sits behind Cloudflare, with automatic redirects to https and to the address without www, and hosting, the SSL certificate and backups are part of the monthly maintenance.
Visits and inquiries are measured in cookieless Matomo and in Google Analytics 4, so there is no annoying cookie banner on the site, and the company sees how many people searched, which cables they look at and how many inquiries and calls come from the website.
M5 Kabel is an example of a manufacturer's website that works as a reference for its customers: the technical data is organized, every code is found in seconds, and every product leads to an inquiry. The client came from our Google ad, saw a demo before paying anything, and signed the contract after approving the colors and the structure.
